Allianz Asia Pacific hosted a special International Women’s Day event on March 6, 2025, under the theme "Empowering Women, Securing Futures." The event brought together over 100 participants, including Allianz employees, business leaders, and industry experts, for a day of mentorship, leadership development, and networking.
The event, a first for Allianz Asia, featured two expert panel discussions focusing on practical strategies for women’s leadership, financial security, and career advancement. Attendees also engaged in interactive sessions designed to equip them with insights and tools to navigate their professional journeys.

Launched in June 2024 to support women in distribution channels, #SheSecures has grown into a broader initiative for professional development, mentorship, and financial literacy across all employees and customers.

The event was hosted by Natasha WAHAP, Employer Branding and Talent Engagement Leader - SAPMENA, L'Oréal.
This session explored the role of mentorship in building confidence, career progression, and leadership development. Panellists discussed strategies for navigating workplace barriers, fostering inclusive mentorship networks, and accelerating professional growth through structured guidance.
Speakers included Anusha Thavarajah, Regional CEO of Allianz Asia Pacific; Lee Lung Nien, Chairman of Citi Private Bank; Yamin Gröninger, Managing Director & Partner at Boston Consulting Group; and Elaine Yew, Senior Partner at Egon Zehnder. The session was moderated by Ong Soh Chin, Immediate Past President, AWARE Singapore.
The second panel focused on bridging gender gaps in leadership and workplace equity. Discussions centred on fostering inclusive workplace cultures, advocating for policy changes, and ensuring equal opportunities for success. Panellists shared insights on how businesses can implement actionable strategies to create a more equitable work environment.
Speakers included Cindy Cui, CEO & Executive Director of Allianz China Life; Christian Sandric, Regional Managing Director of Allianz Commercial Asia; Liyana Othman, Senior Advocacy Director at the EU-ASEAN Business Council; and Hosanna Elarmo-Sacdalan, Group Head of Health & Safety at Standard Chartered Bank. The session was moderated by Jana Dawson, Director of Academic & Training Development at The School of Positive Psychology.
