Anusha Thavarajah
Regional Chief Executive Officer, Allianz Asia Pacific

Anusha Thavarajah is the Regional Chief Executive Officer for Allianz Asia Pacific and a pivotal member of Allianz Asia’s Regional Executive Board, where she is instrumental in shaping and executing the company’s ambitious growth strategy in Asia.

Previously, Anusha served as Allianz’s Regional Chief Executive Officer for Life & Health in Asia Pacific, where she drove the profit and loss and spearheaded the functional development of Allianz’s Life & Health business across the region.

Before joining Allianz Asia Pacific in December 2019, Anusha was the Chief Executive Officer at AIA Bhd. In this influential role, she oversaw AIA Malaysia’s three main business lines—Agency, Partnership Distribution, and Corporate Solutions—along with its Takaful, General Insurance, Pension and Asset Management, and Health Services units.

Anusha has the distinction of being the first female President of the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia and Chairperson of the Malaysian Insurance Institute. She also broke new ground as the first female CEO in the AIA Group, leading AIA Malaysia since June 2015.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Anusha has held various senior leadership roles in the UK, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. She graduated with First Class Honours in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Birmingham and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, United Kingdom, as well as a Fellow of the Malaysian Insurance Institute. Her visionary leadership and extensive expertise continue to drive Allianz Asia Pacific toward unprecedented success.

Aaron Fryer
Regional Chief Financial Officer, Allianz Asia Pacific

Aaron is the Regional Chief Financial Officer for Allianz Asia Pacific, where he provides strategic financial leadership to support Allianz’s growth ambitions in Asia. He is instrumental in driving long-term performance and value creation, overseeing all facets of the finance division, including business reporting, actuarial services, finance, risk management, and tax. Aaron also spearheads the organization’s Corporate Development agenda for the region.

As a key member of the company’s Regional Executive Board, Aaron plays a vital role in setting and executing Allianz’s growth strategy in Asia.

Since joining Allianz in 2018 as Deputy Regional CFO, Aaron has brought over 20 years of financial services expertise, with a significant portion of his career dedicated to business roles throughout Southeast Asia. Before joining Allianz, he served as Country CFO for Prudential Indonesia.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute of Australia (FIAA). His extensive experience and visionary leadership continue to drive Allianz Asia Pacific toward sustainable growth and success.

Teh Kim Leng
Regional Chief Operating Officer, Allianz Asia Pacific

Kim Leng is the Regional Chief Operating Officer for Allianz Asia Pacific, where he drives the regional IT and operations strategy and oversees the governance and oversight of the Life & Health and Property & Casualty insurance entities. Additionally, he leads the Protection & Resilience function within the region.

As a key member of the company’s Regional Executive Board, Kim Leng plays a crucial role in setting and executing Allianz’s ambitious growth strategy in Asia.

With over 30 years of distinguished experience in financial services, Kim Leng has been at the forefront of driving transformation and implementing cutting-edge, digital-led, customer-centric programs and operations. Prior to joining Allianz, he served as Chief Transformation and Operations Officer at Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad from 2016 to 2022. He was also the Chief Technology Officer at AIA Malaysia from 2012 to 2016 and spent 13 impactful years at ING Malaysia, culminating in his role as Chief Information Officer.

Kim Leng holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing Science) degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Master of Commerce (Information Systems) from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. He also earned an Executive MBA from PHW Business School, Switzerland. His extensive expertise and visionary leadership continue to propel Allianz Asia Pacific to new heights.

Mohit Bahoria
Regional Chief Agency, Digital Distribution and Marketing Officer,
Allianz Asia Pacific 

Mohit has been a driving force in his current role since January 1, 2022, and joined the Allianz Asia Pacific Regional Executive Board in 2024. In this strategic position, he has been instrumental in shaping and executing the company's ambitious growth strategy across Asia. His portfolio includes spearheading the agency distribution channel strategy for profitable growth, driving transformative business initiatives, and overseeing the digital revolution of distribution and marketing functions.

Before this, Mohit served as the Head of Agency Distribution & Digital – Life & Health APAC, where he utilised his deep expertise and extensive experience to lay the groundwork for strategic agency distribution development and the creation of a comprehensive digital solution for the region.

Prior to joining Allianz Asia Pacific in April 2021, Mohit was the Head of Strategy and Transformation at AIA Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, with a focus on Economics and Taxation, and a Master's degree in Economics, both from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya University. Mohit's visionary leadership and unparalleled expertise continue to drive Allianz's success in the dynamic Asian market.

Jeffrey Manuel
Regional Chief Partnerships Officer, Allianz Asia Pacific 

Jeffrey Manuel is the Chief Partnership Officer for Allianz Asia Pacific, where he spearheads all regional Bancassurance and Partnership channels across both Life & Health and Property & Casualty businesses.

Since joining Allianz Asia Pacific in August 2020, Jeffrey has been instrumental in driving the rollout of cutting-edge partnership transformations across all entities in Asia, leading to significant and sustainable growth.

With over 25 years of distinguished experience in senior leadership roles at global powerhouses such as Citibank, Manulife, and AIA, Jeffrey boasts an exceptional track record in sales and distribution, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and operational excellence. His visionary leadership continues to propel Allianz Asia Pacific to new heights.

Melanie Gillig
Regional Chief People and Culture Officer, Allianz Asia Pacific 

Melanie's journey with Allianz began in 2007 as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer in Germany. She quickly advanced through several divisional sales management roles, honing the essential business acumen that would propel her to become the Regional Head of HR for the CEE region in 2015. In 2020, Melanie was appointed Global Head of HR, where she masterfully led the HR function for Allianz Global & Corporate Specialty (AGCS).

By 2022, Melanie had emerged as a pivotal force behind the New Work transformation for Allianz entities in Germany, serving as the Program Lead. In Q1 2023, she ascended to the role of Chief People and Culture Officer for the AZAP region. Melanie's extensive experience and visionary leadership are instrumental in supporting our Pinnacle ambitions and driving key strategic initiatives to ensure sustainable growth in the region.

Allianz has a strong regional network across Asia, and a regional office in Singapore’s Central Business District. Allianz services are offered in 15 markets across the region.
